BUSINESS ENGLISH
American Business English Coaching in San Francisco
One-to-one coaching for international professionals in the US, so the English you use at work carries the full weight of what you know.
Your English works. The question is whether it carries your thinking.
You can probably already do your job in English. The problem is subtler: something gets lost between what you know and what lands in the room. A technical point arrives without its significance. A firm opinion comes out hedged. A proposal reads as information rather than as a decision someone should make.
In the US, professional success takes more than technical expertise. It takes clear, concise, effective communication — the kind that influences decisions, leads teams, and drives projects. Coaching works at that level: the structure of your ideas, the way you frame their value, and the language and delivery that let them be heard, with pronunciation and grammar refined along the way where they matter.
WHAT WE WORK ON
What business English coaching covers
Speaking and pronunciation
Pronunciation, speaking, and accent reduction where they make a real difference, so you can stop monitoring how you sound and attend to what you're saying.
Meetings and presentations
The rooms where visibility is decided: presenting with structure, contributing in meetings, and expressing opinions with confidence instead of waiting for a perfect moment.
Conveying business value
Translating technical detail into why it matters for the project, the team, and the business, and using storytelling to make a case persuasive rather than merely accurate.
Business writing
Email, documents, and reports that are clear and direct, written in the register American colleagues expect.
Practice and feedback
Role plays, personalized feedback, and cultural tips anchored in your own work, including the professional obstacles you're facing right now.
WHO IT'S FOR
For capable professionals who sound less senior in English than they are
You might be an engineer, a product manager, or a founder. You're fluent enough to do the job, but in English you come across as more tentative, more literal, or more junior than you are. Over time that gap shapes how colleagues perceive you and which opportunities come your way.
Kevin has more than 15 years of experience as a business communication coach and is trained in intercultural communication and ICF coaching methodology. His clients have included professionals at Google, Apple, Salesforce, Samsung, Pinterest, Intuit, and Naver.

FAQ
Common questions
Is business English coaching the same as accent reduction?
Not quite. Pronunciation, speaking, and accent reduction are part of the work when they help, but they serve a larger aim: English that conveys the quality of your thinking. Sessions also cover how you structure ideas, convey business value, and express opinions in meetings and presentations.
Does it include business writing?
Yes. Writing emails, documents, and reports is part of business English coaching. If you need a specific document edited or proofread, that is a separate service, Editing and Proofreading for Global Business, and the two can be combined.
Can I take business English coaching over Zoom?
Yes. Sessions are one-to-one, in person in San Francisco or over Zoom, and you can mix business English with other services such as cultural skills or presentation coaching.
